The term of the new tourbillon “OSEM” has its roots in Tsarist Russian and simply means “eight.” This number plays a significant role not only linguistically but also visually at the heart of the timepiece in the new model. The representation of the number eight is made possible by two specially crafted guilloché rings, giving the timepiece a unique aesthetic dimension.
However, the significance of the number eight extends beyond linguistic and visual aspects. In many cultures, including the Chinese, the number eight is considered auspicious, signifying good fortune. This positive connotation adds another facet that goes beyond mere functional timekeeping.
The watch itself embodies the traditional classic design in line with the style of Poljot International.Every detail is meticulously crafted, emphasizing the craftsmanship and attention to detail expressed in the production of this timepiece. From the profound meaning of the number eight to the classical elegance in the skeletonized dial design, this watch represents a successful fusion of tradition and aesthetics. The blued hands with luminous paint distinctly stand out from the dial, providing excellent readability.
The 43 mm stainless steel case, IP-plated in rose gold, has a sapphire crystal on the front and is water-resistant up to 5 ATM.
The skeletonized and engraved manual winding movement includes a day-night indicator at the 3 o’clock position and a 24-hour display that can be set as a second time zone. With a power reserve of 40 hours and a limited edition of 100 pieces, the tourbillon presents itself as an almost magical masterpiece.
