Hanhart Thermosphere

A new limited special edition now joins the collection of the Black Forest watchmaker Hanhart: the THERMOSPHERE.Limited to 112 pieces, its production number references the European emergency number for fire and rescue services.

Reduced to the essentials and clearly built for operational use, the THERMOSPHERE places function and resilience at the centre. It was developed for situations in which technical reliability is not optional, but essential. When dense smoke swallows every sense of direction and reduces visibility to just a few centimetres, only one reliable constant remains: time. For firefighters operating with breathing apparatus, time is far more than a measurement. It defines safety, performance and the room for action available to the crew.Under zero-visibility conditions and extreme physical strain, the surrounding environment loses all definition. Decisions are no longer based on what can be seen, but on what remains available: breathing air. Every operation follows a precise time window, defined by the limited service duration of the breathing apparatus and the requirements of respiratory protection monitoring.
